THE GOSPEL
THE GOSPEL
CREATION
In the beginning God created everything. With everything He created humans perfectly in His image. God created us to be in relationship with Him. Since God loves us so much, He gave us free will, or the ability to make choices. The first humans Adam and Eve used their free will to sin, or rebel against God. This is how sin entered the world. Now humans could not be in a perfect relationship with God because He is perfect, holy, and righteous. A perfect God cannot be in relationship with broken people.
THE FALL
Sin separates us from God. Sin leads to death. Physical death is when we are no longer alive. Spiritual death means we are separated from God eternally. God loves His creations so much that He made a way for His people to be in relationship with Him. God says that life is in the blood.
“For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to maketh an atonement for the soul” Leviticus 17:11.
So early humans would sacrifice spotless animals, and their blood covered the sin of that person. People sacrificed animals for every sin they had. No sacrifice was enough to restore their relationship with God, until Jesus.
REDEMPTION
God knew from the very beginning we would need redemption. He had a perfect plan before He even formed us. From the first humans, God used imperfect people for his perfect plan. Jesus is our redemption. Jesus came to earth to restore our relationship with God. He is the Son of God. Jesus is fully God and fully man. While Jesus was on earth, He performed miracles, taught lessons, and loved broken people.
Jesus is perfect and sinless. He died on a cross for US. The blood Jesus shed covered our sins. Three days after Jesus died on the cross He rose from the dead. When Jesus rose from the dead He defeated death forever. Now everyone who has believes in Jesus will have eternal life.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” John 3:16.
WHAT’S NEXT?
“If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord”, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you will be saved” Romans 10:9
Our salvation is the greatest gift from God we could ever receive. When we place our trust in Jesus, He gives us the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit helps guide us. In my personal walk, the Holy Spirit is my guide, discernment, and helps me live for Jesus each day. Now as a follower of Jesus Christ, I hope to glorify Him each day.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age”. Matthew 28:19-20.
